A Little Passion.
A Whole Lot of Bees.
What started with a few backyard beehives quickly turned into something much bigger.
It All Started With a Few Hives.
I'm Chris, the beekeeper behind Spruce Honey & Bee. I started keeping bees as a hobby, but somewhere along the way, curiosity turned into a passion, a few hives became quite a few more, and in 2020, Spruce Honey & Bee was born.
Based in Windham, New Hampshire, we're a small, family-run business with a pretty simple philosophy: take great care of the bees, produce exceptional honey, and share a little of the magic of beekeeping with others.
While I'm the one spending most of my time in the bee yard, my wife Michelle and our daughter Olivia have become part of the adventure too. It's become a bit of a family affair.

More Than Just Honey.
Today, Spruce Honey & Bee is about more than producing premium, small-batch raw honey.
We also bring beekeeping into people's backyards through our professionally managed hive programs. It's an opportunity for homeowners to experience the wonder of honeybees, watch their colonies grow throughout the seasons, and enjoy locally harvested honey without having to become beekeepers themselves.
Along the way, I've continued my beekeeping education through Cornell University, combining what I've learned in the classroom with countless hours working alongside the bees.
Good Bees. Great Honey. No Shortcuts.
I believe exceptional honey starts with healthy bees. That's why we focus on thoughtful hive management, harvesting honey just once a year, and making sure our colonies have what they need to thrive.
We're not trying to be the biggest honey producer around. We'd rather do things a little differently, pay attention to the details, and produce something we're genuinely proud to put our name on.
At the end of the day, it's about good bees, great honey, and sharing something we love with the people around us.
There's More to Explore.
Whether you're here for a jar of local honey or dreaming of bees in your own backyard, we're glad you found us.
